Nathan Beaumont
Based in Christchurch, Nathan is a senior corporate affairs and reputation adviser with more than 15 years’ experience supporting CEOs, Boards, and senior leaders through high-stakes, legally sensitive, and reputationally-complex situations.
He has previously led corporate affairs at Chorus, one of New Zealand’s most scrutinised and politically exposed infrastructure companies. His career also spans senior roles in Government, corporate leadership, and journalism, giving him a rare end-to-end understanding of how issues unfold publicly, legally, and internally.
Nathan has advised leaders during moments of acute pressure, including employment and conduct matters, regulatory scrutiny, organisational change, and crises where decisions must be made with incomplete information and real consequences. His work often sits alongside legal processes, requiring tight coordination with lawyers, Boards, and Executive teams to ensure communications remain disciplined, credible, and aligned.
Most recently, Nathan has provided confidential communications and crisis advisory support in one of the most high-profile and closely watched leadership exits in New Zealand sport, advising on strategy, media engagement, timing, and personal reputation management during a fast-moving and emotionally charged situation.
He works directly with CEOs, Boards, and their advisers to help manage risk, shape strategy, and protect long-term reputation when the spotlight is intense and the margin for error is small. His approach is pragmatic, calm, and judgement-led, with a strong emphasis on knowing when to engage, when not to, and how to preserve dignity under pressure.
